Yellow PLA 0.75kg. 2.85mm diameter and approximately 90m long
PLA is Poly-Lactic-Acid, a biodegradable polymer with a low melting point. It is an easy material to print with and Ultrafuse PLA gives a smooth printing result. This most used 3D printing material is available in a wide range of RAL and Ultrafuse colours and translucent variants. When properly cooled, PLA has a higher maximum printing speed, lower layer heights and sharper printed corners. Combining this with low warping of the print makes it a popular plastic for makers, prosumers and schools.
The reason for the popularity in the 3D-printing world is it's easy to use. But don't underestimate the biobased factor as we live in a more conscious world.
Main features of Ultrafuse PLA
- Low processing temperature
- Low warping
- No heated bed required
- No odour during processing
New Ultrafuse Materials Profiles for Cura
Ultrafuse have been working hard on creating material profiles for Ultimaker Cura slicing software. Having the material profiles for each of the Ultrafuse filaments creates a seamless process when slicing your models as all settings will be preset. These files are available for download.

The easiest material to print with. Derived from corn starches it is cheap and eco-friendly too. We always recommend starting with PLA and using it wherever possible. It is our most popular material but if you require more mechanical strength or thermal resistance you will need to extend your filament palette.
