Meltio's approach combines metal wire feedstock with laser energy to deposit material where it is needed - enabling new-part manufacture, repair, feature addition and hybrid workflows.
Deposit the near-net geometry, then use machining where finished accuracy and surface requirements matter.
Build material onto an existing component rather than automatically treating replacement as the only route.
Use application-led metal deposition for specialist geometries, low volumes and production challenges.
Answer a few questions about your part and we'll point you to the Meltio system most likely to suit it. This is a starting point, not a technical approval.
Titanium needs a controlled, inert environment.
For example, depositing material and machining it in the same workflow.
Consider the maximum dimensions of the finished part.
Your part fits the M600's 300 × 400 × 600 mm build envelope. Its laser-safe, fully inert chamber controls oxygen and humidity, which suits reactive metals such as titanium. The built-in touch probe and zero-point clamping make it ready for production.
You need machining during the build. The Meltio Engine CNC Integration kit adds a blue-laser wire deposition head to a vertical machining centre, so you can 3D print metal and machine it in a single process. It's ideal for near-net-shape parts, repair and feature addition.
Your part is larger than the M600's build envelope. The Robot Cell is a turnkey, laser-safe cell that pairs an ABB robot arm and positioner with the Meltio Engine Blue, for large parts, repair, cladding and feature addition. An optional inert bubble provides a controlled atmosphere for reactive metals such as titanium.
